BARTENDING COURSE FAQ's
Q: When does a new Bartending Class begin?
A: New Bartending Classes begin every day at 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM--Monday thru Thursday.
Q: What times are the Bartending Classes taught?
A: Morning classes are taught from 11:00 AM to 3:00
PM and evening classes are taught from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM--Monday thru Thursday. Open Bartending sessions
are 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM Monday thru Thursday and 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM on Fridays.
Q: How long will it take to complete the Bartending
Course?
A: The Bartending Course is a 32-hour course and is
designed as a two week course or a consolidated one week intensive course (morning & night sessions).
Q: What if I miss a class?
A: Make-up classes are held every week and are easy
to schedule.
Q: If I don't finish the Bartending Course in 2 weeks
is there any extra cost?
A: No. A student may take as long as needed to complete
the Bartending Course at no extra cost.
Q: Who teaches the Bartending Classes?
A: Our Bartending Instructors are all working Bartenders
in San Diego and have a great deal of knowledge and experience in the industry.
Q: What is the classroom setting for the Bartending
Classes?
A: Each Bartending Class is taught behind a real bar
with all equipment, glassware, bottles, etc.
Q: Where are the Bartending Classes held?
A: The Academy of International Bartending is located
at 8340 Vickers Street, Suites I & J, San Diego, California, 92111 (map).
The Academy is conveniently located close to the I-5, I-15, I-8, 52, 163, and
805 freeways in the Kearny Mesa area.
Q: What will I learn?
A: The Bartending Class instructs proper Bartending
technique and procedure with over 500 drinks recipes, spirits, wines & champagnes,
customer service, legalities & liabilities. We teach our students not just to

A: Yes, you have to be 21 years old to bartend in
the State of California.

Q: When does a new BLACKJACK & PAI-GOW POKER Course begin?
A: New BLACKJACK & PAI-GOW POKER Group Instruction begins every Monday at 5:00 PM, however, with all day instruction from 11:00 AM to 10:30 PM Monday through Thursday and 12:00 PM to 6:30 PM on Fridays. You may start your instruction at any time, as soon as you enroll.
Q: What times are the BLACKJACK & PAI-GOW POKER Sessions taught?
A: BLACKJACK & PAI-GOW POKER day sessions are taught Monday through Thursday 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Evening sessions are Monday through Thursday from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Open practice is anytime during the school's normal hours of operation.
Q: May I come to either, both, or all of the above?
A: Absolutely! Students may make their own class schedules. The BLACKJACK & PAI-GOW POKER Course is offered as a flexible sign in/sign out structure for the students convenience. The more frequently a student attends, the faster he/she can graduate.
Q: How long will it take to complete the BLACKJACK & PAI-GOW POKER Course?
A: The average Course completion time is 5 to 8 weeks.
Q: What if I miss a class?
A: No problem. The rotating class schedule makes it easy for each student to complete the course at his/her own pace.
